3. Orgelmatinee
Kirchstraße 1, 55430 Oberwesel
The organ in the Liebfrauenkirche was built in 1740 by the Silesian organ builder Franz Joseph Eberhardt with two manuals and pedal. In 1936, organ builder Klais added a third manual. During the last renovation in 1981, baroque pipe material was reinstalled and a voicing was chosen that allows all literature to be realised. Freshly renovated in 2017, the 30-minute organ matinees take place here in the summer months after Sunday High Mass, where organists from near and far can be heard. All other organ and choir concerts as well as liturgical music on public holidays in the full range of the four children's and adult choirs can be found in the annual church music programme.
