Take a seat and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view: This is now possible on the new XXL bench of the local community Laudert, which is a seat, photo motif and vantage point in one. The bank stands since few days and belongs with 5,00 m length and 3,10 height with security to the largest wood banks in Rhineland-Palatinate and environment; it can be climbed comfortably over a stair plant from oak beams. The XXL bench is a real eye-catcher and a great viewing and resting place for hikers, cyclists and other visitors. It is located from Laudert along the forest in the direction of Riegenroth, directly on the recently opened inter-municipal circular hiking trail "Naturschleife Oberes Simmerbachtal", which runs around the villages of Laudert and Kisselbach and the source of the Simmerbach. Already coming from the A 61, one can see that an extraordinary resting place has been created here. From up there, one enjoys an outstanding view of the opposite side of the Rhine and the foothills of the Soonwald. Furthermore, the oversized seating area offers, for example, "pure relaxation" with great cloud games and sunrises. A special thank you from mayor Erbes on the occasion of the completion went to Paul Schön and Rainer Grings from Laudert, who were responsible for the idea, planning, construction and financing of the large piece of furniture and have set up the furniture on their own initiative and voluntarily together with Oliver Lobüscher for the community. The basic idea of the two was also to encourage citizens to develop more initiative and to tackle things themselves, instead of seeing the community in the duty.
