Leave the stress of everyday life behind and enjoy selected wines, down-to-earth regional and international tapas, homemade cakes and our breakfast on the Middle Rhine slate. In order to be mobile during high tide, we have had a trailer converted into a professional tapas kitchen. Tapas originally reflect the lightness and serenity of Spanish cuisine. Middle Rhine Tapas and Black Forest Tapas on the other hand are small dishes, along the Rhine and the Black Forest. Enjoy the Spanish flair, with a view of the Rhine and enjoy the informal Middle Rhine way of life. In the Väterchen Rhein we have made it our business to present all vintners from Oberwesel with one of their excellent wines, as well as other wineries and wines from the Middle Rhine in our promotions. With our great location directly on the Rhine, we would like to be a small "showcase" for the Winzer:innen. As photographers and life artists it is possible for us to live and work as a family alternately in several places: in the Middle Rhine, in the Black Forest, in Vienna, as well as not far from Barcelona. All these different living spaces have shaped us as creatives and inspired us in our project "Väterchen Rhein". Regionality is in the foreground for us and in connection with our different places of living. We have worked to ensure that Oberwesel retains its classic KD house, i.e. that it is not demolished and that the Rhine area is given a new lease of life. So we also offer different action afternoons for seniors or the honorary office, as well as wine sparkling wine and cocktail parties or our wine walk " Wine, Walk & Art".
