At an elevation of 220 m above sea level, the wine-growing community of Nochern is located. Its district covers an area of 731 ha, of which 234 ha is forest (approximately 32%) and 22 ha is vineyards (approximately 3%).
Nochern lies in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley and has experienced a touristic enhancement since the opening of the Rhine Trail.
The Rhine Trail hut on the slopes of Nochern's Brünnchen, as the vineyard site is called, invites hikers and guests to linger. You can hike along nature-preserved trails and enjoy magnificent views around Nochern.
