R(h)ein-Blick Kestert
56348 Kestert
The Rhine is the identity creator and name giver for the UNESCO World Heritage site. Its banks are significant attractions for both residents and guests. Within the settlements, the bank deserves special attention. This is particularly important because various requirements converge here: flood protection, quality of stay, leisure activities, urban design, transport facilities, structures for shipping, art, and ecology.
The project R(h)ein-Blicke, developed from the cultural landscape development concept (KLEK), aims to help reveal special spaces of diversity and beauty outside the settlement structure. The locations of the R(h)ein-Blicke invite both residents and visitors to take a moment to pause and experience this unique cultural landscape in all its fascination up close.
