Rathaus, Backhaus und alte Schule
Rathausstr. 1, 56357 Reitzenhain
In 1930, Reitzenhain received its New Town Hall. A kindergarten, bakehouse, livestock scale, and fire-fighting equipment were housed there. Since the renovation in 1985, bread is even being baked here again.
In 1930, the New Town Hall was inaugurated in Reitzenhain, which took on several functions. In addition to the administrative offices, it housed a kindergarten, a bakery, a livestock scale, and the fire brigade equipment. Particularly interesting is that after the renovation in 1985, baking is actually taking place again in the bakery. In the old "Backes", different groups meet to bake traditional bread and share stories.
It is nice to see how this historic building continues to play a central role in village life today, connecting tradition with modernity.
