Pfarrkirche St. Sylvester
Hauptstraße, 56220 Kaltenengers
There is a stone statue of St. Sylvester in the Kaltenengers church. It was already in the first chapel of Kaltenengers, which stood in the Rheinuferstraße.
Throughout the Middle Ages, Kaltenengers was ecclesiastically connected to the parish of Urmitz. It was not until 1869 that Kaltenengers was elevated to an independent parish. In 1872, the present church was built in the main street. The small neo-Gothic hall church was extended at the end of the 1950s. The church tower, which stands apart from the building, also dates from this time (1957).
