Pfarrkirche Hl. Dreifaltigkeit
Kirchstraße 6, 56575 Weißenthurm
The baptismal font in the Trinity Church in Weißenthurm was donated to the young parish in 1873 by the then mayor of the Bassenheim office in Weißenthurm, Hubert Hubaleck, on the occasion of the introduction of the first pastor of Weißenthurm. Originally, the baptismal font was in the Liebfrauenkirche in Koblenz. Among others, Prince Metternich, who became famous through the Congress of Vienna, was baptised at it. In the book "Kunstdenkmäler der Rheinprovinz" (Art Monuments of the Rhine Province), 1785 is given as the year of acquisition of the baptismal font.
Gravestone of the church builder Lassaulx Johann Claudius von Lassaulx was one of the most important architects in the Rhineland in the first half of the 19th century. In 1836 Lassaulx was commissioned to build the church in Weißenthurm, which was finally officially consecrated two years later.
A total of 11 chapels and churches bear his signature, including the churches in Nickenich, Kobern, Kapellen-Stolzenfels, Vallendar, Güls and Waldesch.
In 1981, the architect's tombstone found a dignified place in the parish church "Holy Trinity" in Weißenthurm.
