The Church of St. John the Baptist was built between 1923 and 1925 with the diverse support of the parishioners.
The ceiling painting depicts the Transfiguration of Jesus, as described in the New Testament: the two prophets Moses and Elijah, the three disciples Peter, James, and John are depicted, with the transfigured Jesus in the center, illuminated by the sun.
