In addition to hikes and wine festivals in autumn, the Rhine and Ahr rivers, volcanic maars and castles offer a variety of opportunities for relaxing and exciting pastimes. Directly behind the house is the access to various hiking trails; an ideal starting point to explore the surrounding area.
In the small village of Unkelbach there is a grocery store for daily basic supplies, and a variety of shopping facilities are not far away in Oberwinter or Remagen.
