In 1978, the former gravel pit was converted into a grill and leisure area. A shelter was built, and the slopes were planted. Due to high demand, a second shelter was constructed in 1984. Eight years later, the site was connected to the community's utility network. Since that time, both the electricity and water supply for the area have been ensured. For sanitary needs, two cabins with toilet and washing facilities were provided. Since then, the grill and leisure area "Kieskaut" has been actively used from spring to late autumn.
Every year, the MC Bornich/Loreley e.V. invites everyone to the traditional motorcycle meeting at the grill and leisure area.
