The Protestant church of Nochern was built in 1892/93, replacing a 500-year-old building. The new church was constructed according to designs by the renowned architect Ludwig Hofmann from Herborn in the neo-Gothic style. In the final days of the war, the Nochern church was severely damaged by artillery fire, completely destroying the colored window in the choir area. In 1961, three new windows were installed in the choir area, designed by the artist Gustel Stein from Mainz. They depict the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist, the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. However, during the interior renovation, the original character of the church was altered. It wasn't until 2004 that the original appearance was restored.
