The Linz/Rhein-Unkel Beekeepers' Association was founded in 1974 through the merger of the two local associations. The local association in Linz am Rhein had already existed since 1890. ‘Every year, beekeeping courses are offered for newcomers. The association maintains an educational apiary and organises guided tours along the educational bee trail, which runs along the Rheinsteig in the Kasbachtal valley.
