Bacharacher Werth
55422 Bacharach
The Rhine Island is an unusual two-hectare Riesling vineyard.
It is one of the smallest independent single vineyards in the world. It has been owned by the Friedrich Bastian winery since 1815. "Werth" is the word for river island commonly used in the Middle Rhine Valley. However, the island is named after its previous owner, the Heyles family. From time to time, the winery offers guided tours or events on the Rhine island.
